Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do works with the Ambassador of the French Republic to Vietnam

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do chaired the working session at the Dien Bien province bridge.

Accordingly, regarding the content of information boards and signs for sightseeing and learning about the history of Dien Bien Phu, 39 foundation pillars and 225 ceramic markers have been installed. Of which, 19 foundation pillars are information boards (3 information boards have been installed); 20 foundation pillars are direction signs (1 direction sign has been installed). 225 ceramic markers have been installed on the sidewalks of the following streets: Nguyen Huu Tho, Nguyen Chi Thanh, Hoang Cong Chat, Hoang Van Thai, Pham Van Dong and the A1 Hill relic.

Currently, AFD in Vietnam has printed and completed the assembly of 16 information boards and 19 direction signs and is expected to transport them to Dien Bien on November 15, 2024, and complete the installation before November 20, 2024. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates with relevant units and directs the construction units to build the foundation pillars of information boards and direction signs, expected to be completed before November 15, 2024.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed and agreed on the date to organize the workshop and inaugurate the tour to learn about the history of Dien Bien Phu on November 23, 2024; and agreed on the program of the visit of the Dien Bien province delegation to France.
