Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee was elected to hold the position of Provincial Party Secretary

Today (December 1), at the Conference of the Executive Committee of the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, was elected by the Provincial Party Committee to hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Previously, on November 2, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee, was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Mr. Dong Van Thanh (55 years old) is from Phong Dien district, Can Tho city. He has a bachelor's degree in sociology and advanced political theory.

Mr. Thanh has held the following positions: Chief of Office of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee; Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee.

At the 14th Hau Giang Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, Mr. Dong Van Thanh was elected Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

He was then elected by the People's Council of Hau Giang province as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
