On the evening of May 14, at the Tam Chuc Scenic Complex (Kim Bang, Ha Nam), Comrade Vuong Dinh Hue, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman attended the opening ceremony of the Ha Nam Culture and Tourism Week, an event in response to the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations.
Also attending were leaders and former leaders of the Party and State; leaders of departments, ministries, branches, and agencies at the Central level, Military Region 3; leaders of Ha Nam province and localities; religious representatives of Vietnam and Japan; and a large number of people of Ha Nam province and domestic and foreign tourists.
On the international side, there was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam Yamada Takio.

On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, presented the Decision to recognize two national treasures to Ha Nam province. These are the national treasure Giau Pagoda Stone Stele (Dinh Xa Commune, Phu Ly City) and the national treasure Tien Noi 1 Bronze Drum (in the collection of 16 pieces of Ha Nam Provincial Museum) belonging to Dong Son culture with a calculated age of around the 4th to 3rd century BC.
Comrade Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, presented the decision to rank 4 historical sites of Ha Nam as national historical sites. They are Lat Son Base Historical Site, Thanh Son Commune, Kim Bang District; Bat Canh Son Scenic Area, Tuong Linh Commune, Kim Bang District; Tam Chuc Scenic Area Complex, Ba Sao Town, Kim Bang District; Nam Cao Tomb Historical Site and Memorial Site, Hoa Hau Commune, Ly Nhan District.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Truong Quoc Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Nam province emphasized that Ha Nam is a land endowed by nature with beautiful natural landscapes, a rich history and culture with a huge and valuable treasure of tangible and intangible cultural heritages imbued with the identity of the Northern Delta region.
Ha Nam also has thousands of relics of all kinds, including 2 special national relics, 3 national treasures, and 12 national intangible cultural heritages.
Ha Nam also has a famous system of rivers, mountains and caves, the highlight of which is Tam Chuc Tourist Area, an attractive destination, attracting millions of domestic and foreign tourists.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Nam province said that, towards the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, today, the Vietnam-Japan traditional art performance exchange program was organized with the desire to continue to introduce and honor the beauty of traditional culture, the close relationship and friendship between the two countries, the two peoples, between Ha Nam province and localities and organizations of Japan.
At the same time, coming to Ha Nam Culture and Tourism Week 2023, delegates and visitors will experience 12 unique cultural, sports and tourism activities.
Organizing large-scale, quality events within the framework of Ha Nam Culture and Tourism Week 2023 not only promotes and attracts tourists but also creates opportunities for investors to learn about, exploit, and invest in tourism development in the province.

The results of economic and cultural cooperation between Ha Nam and Japanese localities will actively contribute to deepening the friendly cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
At the ceremony, artists from Japan performed Kyogen comedy - the first comedy genre born in Japan with a 650-year tradition, recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage; Vietnamese and Japanese artists performed traditional art performances of each country.
Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Yamada Takio said that the two countries are celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations in the context of bilateral relations being at their best ever, with unprecedentedly strong ties in all fields. In particular, Ha Nam is one of the localities that has become a model for Japan-Vietnam friendly cooperation.
On the evening of April 28, at Cua Viet Beach Square, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Quang Tri province to open the 2023 Vietnamese Cultural and Culinary Festival. Many guests, leaders of Quang Tri province and representatives of leaders of provinces in the region; departments, branches, and thousands of people and tourists attended.
