According to the report on preparations for the 9th Global Young Parliamentarians Conference presented by Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Vu Hai Ha, as of August 28, 64 delegations had registered to attend the conference with 244 people, including 172 parliamentarians, 72 assistants, secretaries and accompanying persons.

Speaking at the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue emphasized that the 9th Global Young Parliamentarians Conference is the only multilateral foreign affairs activity hosted by our National Assembly this year. This is a very valuable opportunity to promote the country, people of Vietnam and the achievements that Vietnam has achieved to international friends. The scope is a conference of young parliamentarians, but the nature is global, so the leaders of the Party, State and ministries and branches are very interested.

On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue respectfully thanked the attention, enthusiastic participation, responsibility and effectiveness of the central ministries, branches and some directly related localities such as Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh; the support of enterprises; the initiative of the Vietnam Young National Assembly Delegates Group; the Conference Organizing Committee has been working at full capacity and with high responsibility. Thanks to that, a large amount of work has been completed so far; preparations for this very important event have been and are being completed. The National Assembly Chairman expressed his belief that the conference will be a great success.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue requested the subcommittees and the Organizing Committee to study and absorb the opinions expressed at the meeting, complete the preparation stage; complete the detailed scenarios of each event and each session; carefully review each content; need to have backup plans for each situation to avoid being passive; ensure the highest spread for each event.

Emphasizing that from now until the 9th Global Young Parliamentarians Conference takes place, there are still many activities and events taking place continuously, such as: Conference of full-time National Assembly Deputies; leaders attending the opening day; President of the Japanese Senate officially visiting Vietnam; National Conference on implementing laws and resolutions of the 15th National Assembly; Children's National Assembly; Socio-Economic Forum 2023, etc. National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue requested the Subcommittees, relevant agencies and organizations to focus and arrange reasonable time to complete all preparations with the highest quality.

On behalf of the Conference Organizing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man respectfully accepted the direction of the National Assembly Chairman; at the same time, requested members of the Organizing Committee, the National Secretariat and sub-committees to immediately after the meeting focus on reviewing and maximally absorbing the direction of the National Assembly Chairman and the opinions at the meeting, synchronously and effectively deploying tasks to ensure the successful organization of the conference.
