(PLVN) - On December 21, Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company - one of the typical fertilizer production units of Vietnam Chemical Group (Vinachem) was honored to welcome comrade Xaysomphone Phomvihane - Chairman of the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
Since 2023, Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company has established a cooperative relationship with Phongsavanh Group of Laos, marking an important step in exporting Dau Trau brand NPK fertilizer to the Lao market.
The above cooperation not only brings quality fertilizer products but also helps improve agricultural production capacity for Lao farmers through advanced farming models.
Recently, in the capital city of Vientiane (Laos), PHAIBOUN TRAIDING IM&EX Co. Ltd (a member of Phongsavanh) and Binh Dien Quang Tri Joint Stock Company (a member of Binh Dien) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on research and transfer of scientific and technical advances to Lao farmers.
On this occasion, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vinachem Phung Quang Hiep and leaders of Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company welcomed and took the Lao National Assembly delegation to visit Binh Dien Fertilizer Factory, and discussed investment cooperation opportunities in the fields of fertilizer and agriculture.
Vinachem representatives also introduced technical advances and fertilizer production technology, and shared experiences in effective agricultural cultivation suitable to local conditions in Laos.
“We are pleased to welcome the Lao National Assembly delegation and hope that this visit will be a turning point in promoting cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of agriculture.
Vinachem commits to continue accompanying Lao farmers, providing high-quality fertilizer products and sharing experiences in sustainable agricultural cultivation," said Mr. Phung Quang Hiep.

Talking to reporters, Mr. Ngo Van Dong - General Director of Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company affirmed that the transfer of scientific and technological advances is the foundation of cooperation. Accordingly, Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company has sent many leading experts to Laos to help you research land, soil and crop conditions, deploying the introduction of Dau Trau brand fertilizer products to important growing areas of Laos, such as Champasak province, Salavan province and Savanakhet, thereby developing fertilizer products suitable for each land area and type of plant.
In 2024, with the total export turnover of Dau Trau fertilizer to Laos reaching 2,000 tons, revenue of nearly 1 million USD, Vinachem and Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company believe that this cooperation will develop even stronger in the future.
