The PSG chief is currently advising and offering a range of options to Sheikh Jassim and the Nine Two organisation behind the bid to buy the Old Trafford outfit from their American owners.

Al-Khelaifi was born in Qatar and is a prominent figure in European and international football. Meanwhile, Sheikh Jassim is the Chairman of the Qatari Islamic Bank and has close ties with Al-Khelaifi. Sheikh Jassim and the Nine Two organization are having a hard time taking over the "Red Devils". Therefore, Al-Khelaifi has participated in this deal as an intermediary, giving advice to the Qatari owners.

According to The Atlantic , after four offers were rejected, Qatar's owners asked the 49-year-old president for advice on what he felt was a reasonable valuation for the Manchester club. Sheikh Jassim listened and made a fifth offer.

Sheikh Jassim and Nine Two are currently in a two-horse race with British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, a loyal Manchester United fan who is also interested in taking over the “Theatre of Dreams” team. Al-Khelaifi has also approached the Glazers and given his opinions on the price offered by Sheikh Jassim.

At the same time, the 49-year-old man met directly with the Glazers and Raine - an American bank that is overseeing the deal. Like British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Sheikh Jassim has so far encountered many difficulties in acquiring MU through his representative, the Nine Two investment fund. In the latest moves, Nine Two made a final offer on June 9 and if it is not successful, they will stop negotiating with the Glazers.

The Glazer family currently values their assets at £6 billion but they are still not satisfied with past offers and are now demanding many other commercial benefits. MU was put up for sale in November 2022 and negotiations are still dragging on. The "Red Devils" fans are showing great concern, especially when the transfer market in England will open on June 14. MU needs to clearly define its future so that it can invest in players, preparing for the 2023-2024 season that is approaching very soon.

In the news related to MU's ownership, coach Erik ten Hag was very angry with the uncertain future of the "Red Devils". The Dutch coach had direct discussions with MU's leadership and he declared that he was ready to leave if the Glazers did not make a decision soon.
