(Dan Tri) - On the afternoon of November 1 in Hanoi, President Vo Van Thuong presided over the welcoming ceremony for Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh and his wife on an official visit to Vietnam.

Vietnam and Mongolia established diplomatic relations in November 1954, have a traditional friendship, and regularly help and support each other. In recent contacts, Mongolia repeatedly emphasized the importance of its relationship with Vietnam, considering Vietnam an important partner in the Asia-Pacific region. Vietnam is considering and studying Mongolia's proposal to establish a new Comprehensive Partnership framework between the two countries. Mongolian goods exported to Vietnam are mainly white horse glue, sheep wool carpets, fine goat hair products, leather products, leather gloves, etc. On the Vietnamese side, the main exports are agricultural products, food, pharmaceuticals, etc. to the neighboring country. Agreement between the Government of Vietnam and the Government of Mongolia on visa exemption for diplomatic passports, official passports, and ordinary passports; Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of Justice and Interior of Mongolia on information exchange and cooperation in immigration management; Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of Justice and Interior of Mongolia on cooperation in preventing and combating transnational drug crimes; Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Office of the National Security Council of Mongolia; Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Office of the National Security Council of Mongolia on strategic research cooperation; Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia on sustainable rice trade.
