Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center Joint Stock Company (VEF) has just announced personnel changes to the Securities Commission and HNX.
According to the announcement, the VEF Board of Directors has removed Ms. Ly Hoa Lien from the position of General Director from September 23.
Ms. Lien moved to the position of deputy general director and is also the person authorized to disclose information of the company after leaving the CEO position.
According to the annual report, Ms. Lien (born in 1973) has been associated with VEF for a long time, from 1994 to present. In 2017, Ms. Lien was elected as Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and General Director of VEF. In 2020, she stepped down as Chairwoman and continued to be elected as a member of the Board of Directors.
The person appointed as General Director to replace Ms. Lien is Ms. Nguyen Thi Quy Phuong. Ms. Phuong did not hold any position at VEF before being appointed as CEO.
Regarding personnel movements at this company, a few days ago, Ms. Duong Hong Anh was also dismissed from her position as a member of the board of directors following her resignation. Afterwards, Mr. Mac Van Tien was elected to join the board of directors.
According to the 2023 annual report, VEF is a company in which Vingroup (VIC) holds more than 83.3% of capital. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism holds 10% of capital.
In the resolution of the shareholders' meeting on September 18, VEF announced that it had signed a cooperation agreement with Vinhomes Joint Stock Company to implement a new urban area project in Xuan Canh, Dong Hoi, Mai Lam communes, Dong Anh district, Hanoi with the commercial name Vinhomes Global Gate.
According to the contract, VEF will receive 95% of all benefits from the project, while Vinhomes will receive 5%.
It is known that the total area of both the National Exhibition Center and Vinhomes Global Gate projects mentioned above has a scale of up to over 300 hectares.
In particular, the 90-hectare National Exhibition Center project is a national key project in the field of trade and services, replacing the old exhibition center in Giang Vo.
Statistics over the past year show that VEF stock price has increased very positively with an increase of more than 80%. At VND 224,000 per share, VEF's market price is also among the most expensive on the stock exchange.
High market price, as of September 26, VEF's capitalization value reached more than 37,000 billion VND. With this capitalization, VEF is in the club of billion-dollar capitalized enterprises on the UpCOM floor, after famous "big guys" such as Vietnam Airports Corporation - ACV (252,500 billion VND) or Viettel Global - VGI (278,800 billion VND)...
