Construction site changes positively
Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Lam inspected the route constructed by Son Hai Group.
According to the Deputy Minister, the drastic participation of Khanh Hoa Party Committees and authorities in site clearance, proactive material sources, and efforts in construction and project implementation by functional units and contractors have created positive changes at the construction site.
Mr. Tran Dinh Tuyen, Deputy Director of Project Management Board 7, said that the Van Phong-Nha Trang Expressway has 2 construction packages, and so far, contractors have mobilized 42/42 construction teams. Of these, 24 are road construction teams, 18 are bridge construction teams with 943 pieces of equipment and nearly 2,000 workers.
Notably, the project progress reached nearly 40%, 1.8% faster than the adjusted plan to shorten the completion time before June 30, 2025.
Deputy Minister discussed with leaders of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee about the relocation of technical infrastructure on the route.
Acknowledging the efforts in implementing the project, the Deputy Minister assessed that the early completion of the Van Phong - Nha Trang project would reduce the load on National Highway 1, promoting socio-economic efficiency. Contractors always follow the Prime Minister's direction to work in three shifts, four shifts, taking advantage of the land and weather to speed up progress.
Besides contractors Son Hai, Lizen, and Vinaconex, which have created many bright spots in construction recently, the Deputy Minister requested that the two contractors Hai Dang and VNCN E&C focus on mobilizing more workers to complete the foundation and bridges on the route.

Right at the construction site, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Lam pointed out: While the weather was favorable, many construction sites still ensured construction, but these two contractors showed signs of subjectivity when only sparsely arranging workers and construction equipment.
"Weather and prices will continue to be unpredictable. If contractors do not follow the construction schedule and do not implement the plan well, they will not be able to implement it... Supervision consultants, investors, and leaders of contractors must coordinate closely to supervise and avoid shortcomings in construction," the Deputy Minister emphasized.
Early relocation of technical infrastructure, creating construction site
Reporting to the Deputy Minister, Mr. Tran Dinh Tuyen, Deputy Director of Project Management Board 7, said that up to now, the locality has handed over nearly 100% of the land. For the remaining area, Khanh Hoa province has mobilized households to build public roads through the land (from the beginning of December 2023) and construct construction items (bridges, culverts, underpasses)....
However, at many locations, contractors have not been able to construct due to access problems, relocation of technical infrastructure (HTKT)...

It is known that although Khanh Hoa has agreed to relocate 164 technical infrastructure locations, only 58 locations have been relocated. Of the 11 220kV power locations, 10/11 locations (in Ninh Hoa town and Van Ninh district) have had their designs approved.

According to Mr. Tuyen, to ensure the plan to shorten the project completion schedule, localities need to promptly and thoroughly handle the locations with land clearance problems.
There are 20 existing infrastructure intersections along the route that affect the project's construction process. Project Management Board 7 recommends that the locality prioritize the relocation of 7 high-voltage, medium-voltage, and low-voltage power lines (4 Van Ninh locations, 3 Ninh Hoa locations), which are the locations for embankment and construction of critical bridges of the project.
The Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway component project through Khanh Hoa has the starting point (at Km285+000) connecting the southern entrance road of Co Ma tunnel (Van Ninh district). The end point (at about Km368+350) connects the starting point of Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway (Dien Khanh district).
The total length of the route is more than 83km (through 4 districts and towns: Van Ninh, Ninh Hoa Town, Dien Khanh, Khanh Vinh).
Total investment is nearly 12,000 billion VND.
The investor is Project Management Board 7.
