(Dan Tri) - The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place in 3 sessions. Candidates with IELTS 4.0 will not be converted to 10 points as before.
The Ministry of Education and Training has officially approved the regulations for the 2025 high school graduation exam. Accordingly, the exam will have 3 sessions including 1 session of literature, 1 session of math and 1 session of an optional exam including 2 subjects from the following subjects: physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography, economic education and law, information technology, technology, foreign languages (English, Russian, French, Chinese, German, Japanese and Korean).
With this number of exams, candidates have 36 combinations to choose from.
Graduation exam scores only account for 50% of the weight in considering high school graduation recognition, the remaining 50% is the student's academic results in grades 10, 11 and 12.

In addition, candidates with foreign language certificates as prescribed are exempted from the exam but will not be converted into 10 points in the graduation recognition consideration as before. This is one of the measures to encourage foreign language learning but ensure fairness in graduation consideration.
In addition, the Ministry decided to eliminate the bonus points for vocational certificates for all candidates, and eliminate the bonus points for IT certificates, foreign languages, and intermediate vocational degrees for candidates in continuing education.
The 2025 high school graduation exam is scheduled to take place on June 26-27.
