On the evening of January 11, at the Vietnam - Czech Friendship Cultural Palace (Hai Phong City), the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor held the opening ceremony of the 2025 Trade Union Tet Market. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2025 Trade Union Tet Market, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang said: In 2024, the whole country continues to face unprecedented and unexpected difficulties. In particular, storm No. 3 has had a very serious impact, causing heavy damage to both people and property in the provinces and cities in the Northern region, many of whom are union members and workers.
In that context, with the attention of the Party, State, agencies, organizations, units, enterprises and the whole society, with the spirit of solidarity and high determination of the team of trade union officials, union members and workers, trade union activities continued to have many innovations, achieving important results.

Trade unions at all levels have concretized and effectively implemented the theme of trade union activities in 2024, which is "Focusing on bringing the Resolution of the Trade Union Congresses at all levels into life; competing to achieve achievements to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union".
In particular, at the 8th session, the 15th National Assembly passed the Trade Union Law, creating an important legal basis for the Vietnam Trade Union, the socio-political organization of the working class and laborers, to grow stronger and operate effectively, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation.

The results achieved in 2024 are a favorable premise for Vietnam Trade Union to enter the new year 2025 with many opportunities but also forecasted to have many difficulties and challenges.
Charitable activities towards workers
Regarding the Trade Union Tet Market program, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang said that it has become a tradition that every time Tet comes, Spring comes, trade unions at all levels focus all resources, organize activities to take care of union members and workers with the desire that all workers can celebrate Tet and enjoy Tet.
In preparation for the Lunar New Year 2025, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has promptly deployed and resolutely directed trade unions at all levels to organize activities to care for union members and workers with many practical activities.

In the program "Union Tet Market 2025" held in Hai Phong, nearly 8,000 union members and workers in the city received vouchers worth 200,000 VND/person to buy goods at all booths. On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Hai Phong City People's Committee also presented 50 Tet gifts to the city's workers in difficult circumstances.
The 2025 Trade Union Tet Market in Hai Phong took place from January 11-17, with a scale of more than 200 booths of more than 125 participating enterprises, units, and business households from more than 30 provinces and cities across the country, of which 9 enterprises are partners of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
