On May 9, the Government issued Resolution No. 66/NQ-CP on the Government's Action Program to implement Resolution No. 41-NQ/TW dated October 10, 2023 of the Politburo on building and promoting the role of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the new period.
Accordingly, the goal from now to 2030 is to have at least 2 million enterprises, of which many entrepreneurs will be formed and developed to lead strong economic groups with potential and competitiveness in the domestic and international markets, promoting the role of leading the way in important sectors and fields of the economy.
The business sector contributes about 65-70% of the country's GDP, about 32-38% of total employment in the economy, 98-99% of total import-export turnover; about 20-25% of enterprises are owned by women, 30-35% of enterprises have female directors or business heads.
By 2030, Vietnam will have at least 10 businessmen on the list of world dollar billionaires and 5 most powerful businessmen in Asia as voted by prestigious world organizations.
The number of businesses ranked in the list of businesses with the highest brand value by prestigious rating organizations in the world increases by 10% each year.
By 2030, there will be at least 10 Vietnamese businessmen on the list of world dollar billionaires and 5 most powerful businessmen in Asia voted by prestigious world organizations.
By 2045, strive for a number of entrepreneurs to own corporations capable of leading industrial and agricultural value chains, moving towards forming a number of Vietnamese value chains in priority industries with the country's strengths.
Forming and developing a team of Vietnamese entrepreneurs with scale, capacity and qualifications to meet the national development goals, high income, position and prestige in the region and internationally.
In order to achieve the goal, the Government requires that in the coming time, ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities, Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry, Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and business associations need to carry out 7 key tasks:
Specifically, raising awareness of the position and role of entrepreneurs in achieving national development goals.
Perfecting policies and laws, creating a favorable and equal investment and business environment for entrepreneurs and businesses to develop and contribute.
Develop a strong team of entrepreneurs to meet the goals and tasks of national development in the new era.
Building ethics, business culture, promoting national spirit, arousing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country.
Strengthen solidarity, cooperation and connection between businessmen and workers, farmers and intellectuals.
