At around 3:00 p.m. on January 30 in Ho Chi Minh City, Doji Group traded SJC gold at VND74.65 million/tael for buying and VND77.15 million/tael for selling, an increase of VND500,000 for buying and VND400,000 for selling compared to this morning. Mi Hong Gold Shop also increased by VND300,000 for both buying and selling compared to the morning, to VND75.4 million/tael for buying and VND76.3 million/tael for selling.
At the same time in Hanoi, SJC Company and PNJ Company also increased by 300,000 VND - 400,000 VND/tael for buying and 400,000 VND/tael for selling, up to 74.7 million VND/tael for buying and 77.2 million VND/tael for selling.
After increasing this morning, the price of 9999 gold continued to increase this afternoon. Specifically, SJC Company listed 9999 gold rings of 1 chi, 2 chi and 5 chi at 62.9 million VND/tael for buying and 64.1 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 100,000 VND for both buying and selling compared to this morning. PNJ Company also increased 50,000 VND for buying and 100,000 VND for selling, listed at 62.8 million VND/tael for buying and 64.15 million VND/tael for selling.
On the world gold market, the spot gold price on Kitco floor on the afternoon of January 30 (Vietnam time) was trading at 2,038.25 USD/ounce, continuing to increase by about 7 USD compared to this morning. This price, after being converted according to the exchange rate at Vietcombank, is equivalent to 60.7 million VND/tael, lower than SJC gold by nearly 16.5 million VND/tael and lower than 9999 gold by about 3.5-4 million VND/tael.
