Huynh Nhu, Thanh Nha and especially the return of central defender Chuong Thi Kieu helped the Vietnamese women's team play extremely well, winning 2-0 against Schott Mainz Club (Germany).

This is also the second consecutive victory of coach Mai Duc Chung and his team during the training and competition trip in Germany before the 2023 World Cup.
However, Chuong Thi Kieu could not start and coach Mai Duc Chung only brought this player on as a substitute in the 76th minute of the match after 9 months of absence due to injury surgery, plus the recovery process.
As predicted, the match against Schott Mainz continued to be an opportunity for the Vietnamese women's team to test their positions. Tran Thi Thuy Nga, Nguyen Thi My Anh... were sent onto the field by coach Mai Duc Chung from the very first minutes.
Despite not having the advantage in terms of physical size, with skillful techniques, the Vietnamese women's team proactively controlled the ball and coordinated attacks. Coordination from both sides was continuously created.
In the 10th minute, from a combination on the left wing, Huynh Nhu passed the ball to My Anh. The Thai Nguyen T&T player dribbled quickly to pass the ball to Hai Yen, who shot from a distance to open the score for the Vietnamese women's team.
In the 36th minute, coach Mai Duc Chung made the first substitution by bringing Thanh Nha onto the field to replace Tran Thi Thu Thao. After that, opportunities continued to appear but unfortunately no more goals were scored in the first half.
In the second half, the Vietnamese women's team continued to have 8 substitutions.
Khong Thi Hang replaces Kim Thanh, Thuy Trang replaces Duong Thi Van, Ngan Thi Van Su replaces Tuyet Dung, Nguyen Thi Thuy Hang replaces Hai Yen, Nguyen Thi Hoa replaces Huynh Nhu, Truc Huong replaces Bich Thuy and Tran Thi Thu replaces Luong Thi Thu Thuong.
Notably, in the 76th minute, coach Mai Duc Chung decided to bring in Chuong Thi Kieu to replace Tran Thi Thuy Nga. This was Chuong Thi Kieu's first match after a break to treat and recover from an injury.
Previously, at the 32nd SEA Games, the coaching staff of the Vietnamese team decided not to register him to compete to ensure the best recovery for this player.
In the final minutes of the match, the Vietnamese women's team scored another goal from Thuy Hang. From a through ball from Van Su, Thuy Hang ran down and finished, making the score 2-0.
According to plan, on June 17, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will travel to Warsaw (Poland) to practice and play a friendly match with the Polish U23 women's team on June 19, before returning to Germany on June 20.
