According to Lieutenant General Oleshchuk, not only the American A-10 aircraft but also the French Dassault Mirage aircraft may serve in Ukraine.
Commander Oleshchuk stressed that along with F-16 fighters, MiG-29 aircraft will also operate in the skies over Ukraine. Mirage-2000D aircraft will help enhance the combat capabilities of Su-34M bombers, while A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft will support Su-25 attack aircraft.
The head of the Ukrainian Air Force said that Kiev is currently prioritizing training pilots to master the F-16 fighter jet, and Ukrainian experts are also studying other options to enhance the combat potential of the air force in general.
The Mirage 2000 is a French fourth-generation single-engine multirole jet fighter.
In September 2023, during talks with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the reaching of "a very important agreement on training Ukrainian pilots in France".
