Admire the costumes made from Dalat flowers on the catwalk

On the evening of September 11 in Da Lat, artisans from 18 countries and territories created a surprise when they brought to the catwalk fashion collections made from Da Lat flowers .

Floral Costume Surprise

This is a notable event within the framework of the 2027 International Flower Arrangement Competition (World Flower Council Summit 2023) organized by the World Flower Council (WFC) in collaboration with Dalat University.

Using flowers and flower arranging accessories produced in Da Lat, floral designers have created clothes and jewelry for professional models to wear on the catwalk. The artisans are all people who have worked in the floral design industry for many years, coming from Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, Macau, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Philippines, Pakistan, etc.

The organizers said the costumes were inspired by traditional costumes of many countries, most of which were from Vietnam. Through the designs, international artists wanted to send a common message to flower lovers about the wide application of flowers in art.

This is the 37th event organized by the World Flower Association, the first time it was hosted in Da Lat as well as in Vietnam, towards the 130th anniversary of the formation and development of Da Lat city .

After the performance and announcement of the results, the 37th World Flower Council Summit will come to a close. The right to host the event in 2024 will be transferred to Korea.

Vietnam wins big

During the Gala Night, 34 elaborate and meticulous floral designs by contestants and artisans participating in the competition were performed by models on stage.

This is also the most anticipated competition with extremely unique and eye-catching designs.

Among them, the contestants from Vietnam dominated with a series of artistic works, blending cultural elements such as the fresh flower dress of the ethnic people in the Northwest highlands, the flower dress combined with bamboo straw, the flower dress with the symbol of the Lac bird on the Dong Son drum...

With their unique creativity, Vietnamese contestants won the gold and bronze prizes in the Championship category, with Nguyen Chi Thai winning the gold prize and Ngo Hau winning the bronze prize. The silver prize in this category went to Denny Lam (Singapore).

In addition, all three consolation prizes also went to Vietnamese contestants. The organizers awarded the Audience Favorite Award to the Korean contestant and the Most Creative Design Award to the Vietnamese contestant.

In the Friendship category, the awards also went to Vietnamese contestants. Among them, contestant Dinh Thi Bich Van won the gold prize, Nguyen Thi Luu won the silver prize, Ha Minh Chau won the bronze prize, and the encouragement prize went to Vo Truong Vy Thao.
