(VTC News) - Bac Trach Church (Thai Binh) is considered one of the unique architectural works with strong European style, an ideal check-in location for tourists during Christmas season.

Bac Trach Church, also known as the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary, is located in Van Truong Commune, Tien Hai District, about 25km from the center of Thai Binh City. Anyone who comes here will be amazed by the majestic and magnificent beauty as if they were in Europe.

The building bears the typical Gothic architectural mark, harmoniously combined with Greek architecture, bringing both ancient and solemn beauty. The sophisticated combination of Gothic and ancient Greek creates a unique architectural style different from other churches in Thai Binh in particular and the North in general.

Gothic architecture appeared in 12th century France, is a typical mark of the Middle Ages. Gothic buildings are notable for their elegant beauty, rising high with characteristic pointed arches, brilliant stained glass windows and slender columns.

Bac Trach Church has soaring pointed arches, massive bell towers, and a system of splendid stained glass windows, creating a sense of sacredness and majesty. The elaborate carvings on the pillars and walls evoke an ancient and solemn beauty.

The elaborate decorative details, inspired by nature and religion, contribute to creating an architectural space that is both majestic and mysterious.

With a length of up to 92.5m, a width of 32m and a height of 72m, Bac Trach Church has a massive scale, accommodating up to thousands of people. This is one of the largest churches in Vietnam. Right in the lobby, an ancient clock with a diameter of 4m further enhances the grandeur of the building.

In addition, Bac Trach church also has two large bell towers 61m high, hanging 6 bells of different sizes. Notably, the largest bell of the church weighs up to 3 tons.

When entering Bac Trach Church, visitors will admire the splendid and impressive religious space.

Inside the church is a majestic space with a main altar made of precious wood, 100 different statues and reliefs, and hundreds of exquisite paintings.

Mr. Pham Viet Thanh (Hai Phong) said that this was the first time he visited a church with such a large space. Stepping inside, he felt overwhelmed like entering a majestic and splendid palace.

The elaborate decorative motifs and bright yellow color combine harmoniously with the blue color scheme.

Not only using high-quality stone and glass to create classic works of art, each wall and ceiling is decorated with reliefs and glass paintings.

In addition, auxiliary decorative structures such as grottoes, bell towers, statues of Our Lady, catechism classrooms, bookstores, etc. are also structures that attract visitors. Currently, Bac Trach Church is not only a center for religious activities of local parishioners but also a place that attracts tourists from near and far.

With its splendid beauty and long history, the church has become a religious symbol and cultural pride of the Thai Binh people. This work represents a subtle blend of Western architectural art and indigenous features, creating an artistic masterpiece worth admiring.
