MU says goodbye to Sergio Reguilon early
After letting midfielder Donny van de Beek go to Frankfurt on loan, MU continued to terminate the contract with defender Sergio Reguilon in this January transfer window.
According to talkSPORT , although Sergio ReguilB was loaned to MU from Tottenham until the end of this season, the "Red Devils" decided to cut short the loan period of the Spanish defender and return him to the North London team this January.
Previously, the Old Trafford team borrowed Reguilon to replace the injured left-back duo Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia. However, the 27-year-old defender only made 12 appearances for MU in all competitions, playing a total of 655 minutes.
In a total of 12 appearances, Reguilon started 7 times and the last match he started, MU suffered a 0-3 home defeat to Bournemouth in December 2023.
In the match against Nottingham Forest on December 31, 2023, Reguilon came off the bench but MU continued to lose 1-2, ending 2023 in 7th place overall in the Premier League rankings.
According to DailyMail , the reason MU parted ways with Reguilon earlier than expected is because the duo Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are about to return from injury, as well as the fact that coach Ten Hag's team was eliminated from the Champions League and Carabao Cup.
In the January transfer window, MU will have a huge change in the squad when the "Red Devils" say goodbye to many players and hope to add new faces that can help coach Ten Hag overcome the crisis in the second half of the season.
Sergio Reguilon is the second player to leave MU in the winter transfer market, after Van de Beek joined Frankfurt.
According to reports, Dortmund are also in talks about borrowing Jadon Sancho, a player who has not played since September 2023 due to a conflict with coach Erik ten Hag.

Al-Nassr interested in Raphael Varane
Raphael Varane is emerging as Al-Nassr's number 1 target in the winter transfer window with the ambition to improve the quality of the squad.
Al-Nassr wants to reunite the Varane - Cristiano Ronaldo duo who had many successful years playing at Real Madrid.
Recently, MU has no intention of activating the contract extension clause with Varane. Instead, the Old Trafford team wants to negotiate a new deal to reduce the treatment that Varane receives.
This has left the French centre-back and his management team unhappy. Some sources close to Varane say he has not ruled out a move to Saudi Arabia.
In Europe, Varane had two options: his old team Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. However, coach Carlo Ancelotti recently confirmed that Real Madrid will not sign a new central defender in the winter transfer window. From Germany, Bayern Munich also stopped the negotiation process.
Continuing to stay in Manchester means Varane has to sit on the bench regularly because he is not in the favor of coach Erik ten Hag.
The Saudi Arabian Championship has become the best option for the 30-year-old centre-back's future - where he will play regularly and earn a high income.
Varane maintains a very good friendship with Ronaldo and the two are in regular contact. CR7's move could convince him to say yes to Al-Nassr.
