According to statistics from the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the number of additional enrollment quotas for grade 10 in public high schools is as follows:
Students submit additional application from August 4
According to the plan of the Department of Education and Training, high schools that do not have enough students will set up a council to recruit additional 10th grade students from August 4.
Students who fail to pass their three admission wishes to public high schools will submit additional application forms to the schools from August 4 to 5 p.m. on August 8.
Each student is only allowed to register for additional enrollment at one public high school that has not yet filled its enrollment quota according to the above list and is not allowed to change schools after submitting the application for additional enrollment.
The condition for participating in the supplementary admission is that the student's exam score must be equal to or greater than the standard score of the third choice of the high school to which the student applies.
Students submit their application directly to the school wishing to enroll additional students, including the 10th grade entrance exam score report issued at the secondary school and stamped with a red seal.
Ho Chi Minh City proposes additional enrollment in public 10th grade
The Admissions Council will base on the admission records, remaining admission quotas, and the total score of the three subjects math, literature, foreign language, and priority points (if any) to determine the scores from highest to lowest until the quota is met.
High schools will use the exam management software provided by the Department of Education and Training to consider candidates who are eligible for additional admission. In case the number of admitted candidates exceeds the remaining quota due to many candidates having the same score, the school's admission council will adjust the number of admitted candidates in the spirit that the number of admitted candidates does not exceed the remaining quota.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training also noted that schools absolutely must not accept students exceeding their enrollment quota; must not accept additional students registering for enrollment after 5:00 p.m. on August 8; must not accept students who do not meet enrollment requirements or whose applications are invalid according to regulations.
Candidates participating in the entrance exam must have their names on the exam management system of the Department of Education and Training.
High schools will announce the list of students admitted to additional grade 10 on August 11 and receive admission applications from August 14 to 16.
