The 16th National Radio Festival - 2024 chose the theme "Vietnam Radio - Diversity in Digital Transformation", aiming to quickly update, adapt well, and effectively use the elements of 4.0 technology.

- Held every two years, the National Radio Festival is a festival for Vietnamese radio journalists. Up to now, the National Radio Festival has been held 16 times, becoming a prestigious event, a meeting place for professional and technical exchanges. Could you please share the significance of this year's Radio Festival?

The 2024 National Radio Festival marks the 16th edition. Looking back at the time when the National Radio Festival was first held in 1994, it can be said that this is a 30-year journey.

The National Radio Festival has truly left its mark, first of all for those who directly participated in the event. It is not an exaggeration to say that this is the “biggest festival” for radio workers nationwide – an opportunity for us to gather, meet, share professional experiences, career ups and downs, update new skills, new technology to progress together.

An unforgettable impression is that for radio lovers across the country. Through this event, listeners can learn more about excellent works and authors in the field of radio, as well as being the meeting point for many outstanding cultural events.

These are also the important missions that we always put our heart and soul into, hoping to complete each time we organize them. The 16th National Radio Festival in 2024 has great significance, especially in the context of our country striving to compete and determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

This name has shared all the expectations of today’s radio workers, which is how to quickly update – adapt well – effectively the elements of 4.0 technology, of multimedia communication platforms for the purpose of further improving the quality of radio programs.

From there, audiences nationwide will be the beneficiaries of the best and most attractive values. Only then will radio fulfill its mission, which is to be a bridge connecting the people and the Party and State, effectively propagating policies, laws, good practices, and advanced examples.

And vice versa, radio also represents the voice of the people in responding to existing problems to promptly make appropriate adjustments to policies, for the goal of the common development of society.

In nearly 100 years of Vietnam Revolutionary Press, Voice of Vietnam has accompanied the country's development for nearly 80 years. In each revolutionary period, the Vietnam Radio Industry has performed very well its information and propaganda functions, being an important information channel of the Party, the State as well as Party Committees and authorities at all levels; truthfully reflecting the lives, thoughts and aspirations of the people, providing information for authorities at all levels to promptly grasp the situation of public opinion and issue appropriate policies.

Creative, updated, fresh, attractive – to have these elements, the organizing team has spent a lot of effort in a period of one year. Perhaps this is a long enough period of time for us to have the best investment in the organization.

In addition to the Final Round held on a large scale in Thanh Hoa, the Preliminary Round was also organized elaborately and methodically in Tuyen Quang province.
