Spending more than 400 million VND on eyebrows can 'change your appearance and your destiny', Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health warns

Recently, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has received many complaints related to 'feng shui eyebrows', many people have paid hundreds of millions of dong.

On October 25, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that currently, the operation of "feng shui eyebrow" establishments in the city is on the rise, stemming from the increasing demand for beauty and personal appearance improvement.

Many establishments advertise untruthfully and without scientific basis about cosmetic services with feng shui elements to attract and entice customers to use tattooing, sculpting, feng shui consulting services... to improve their destiny, health, and fortune.

The Department of Health has received many reports from people regarding activities that show signs of encroachment in the medical field, such as using unknown substances injected into the face... at great cost.

Like the case of Ms. D. (Vietnamese American) who had eyebrow services, wrinkle removal, lip shaping, migration, forehead shaping... with a total cost of 425 million VND at VV Feng Shui eyebrow facility (District 10).

Also here, Ms. T. and Ms. H. had to pay over 90 million VND for lip and eyebrow services.

Another case is Ms. N. who reported that she had eyebrow, lip, temple services... performed at NS Feng Shui Eyebrows (District 10) with a total cost of 248 million VND...

"One thing that feng shui eyebrow establishments have in common is advertising on social networking sites with the content: eyebrow sculpting, changing fate.

It is worth mentioning that these establishments use images of famous artists with high technology and attractive costs.

However, when arriving at the facility, the staff advised and enticed them to use "VIP" services with very high costs and the risk of medical incidents when injecting substances of unknown origin into the face area," said the Inspector of the Department of Health.

The Department of Health coordinates with agencies and departments in inspecting and handling activities related to the medical field at feng shui eyebrow facilities in the area.

Specifically, a decision was issued to impose an administrative penalty on Ms. Ngo Linh Huong - an employee of the Vien Vien feng shui eyebrow business located on Ba Thang Hai Street, Ward 12, District 10.

Or recently, the People's Committee of District 10 issued a decision to fine the Ngoc San feng shui eyebrow business and the Huong Giang feng shui eyebrow business (District 10).

In addition to handling administrative violations, the Department of Health synthesizes records and documents provided by people and sends them to the police to continue investigating and verifying business activities with signs of fraud and property appropriation according to the reported content.

The Department of Health recommends that people be cautious with advertisements that claim to change their fate, help improve luck and fortune, use images of famous artists, modern technology, and attractive promotions... from feng shui eyebrow establishments.

There is currently no scientific evidence related to feng shui, making it easy to fall into superstitious activities that cause many serious consequences.
