On the afternoon of March 14, at a press conference, Hang Du Muc, Quang Linh Vlogs and Mr. Le Tuan Linh (representative of Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company - CER Group) bowed their heads to apologize for the misleading advertisement of Kera vegetable candy.

Quang Linh Vlog explains that advertising on livestream "1 candy equals a plate of vegetables" is using incorrect terminology that affects consumers.

Hang Du Muc also apologized for causing harm to consumers due to misleading advertising.

At the same time, CER Group also confirmed that it will refund customers who want to return the goods, even for used products.

Consumers still not satisfied with apology

Immediately after the apology and bowing of CER Group members were shared, some readers supported the company's act of admitting mistakes and offering solutions.

However, consumers are still not satisfied with the apology from CER Group.

Sharing with Tuoi Tre Online , Ms. Hoa (34 years old, Hanoi) said that only when unfortunate incidents are discovered do they receive an apology.

"Consumer laxity is fertile ground for many celebrities to sell products without verification and advertise falsely.

Currently on social networks, there are many KOLs and TikTokers who are "high" on power. They rely on the support of many people to seek benefits without thinking about those who have supported them," said Ms. Hoa.

Sharing the same opinion, Mr. Bui Van Thang (Hanoi) said that this is a huge lesson for KOLs today.

"For Quang Linh Vlogs, I see this as a very valuable lesson for him. The beautiful image he has built up until now has been destroyed by a statement that he explains is an incorrect "term".

"Celebrities should not destroy their image for "momentary" benefits," said Mr. Thang.

Lessons for celebrities from vegetable candy advertising

On Tuoi Tre Online , many readers also left comments about CER Group's apology.

Reader Minh Duc expressed: "Admitting that the advertisement is not true, so it must be severely punished to set an example."

Similarly, reader Le Thoai suggested: "These KOLs should be banned from broadcasting, severely punished, and must compensate 10 times the amount customers paid."

Reader Ba Rau wrote: "This is an act of defrauding consumers. If the buyer uses the product without testing it, who will know about this?

It's not like you can just apologize for being wrong. This is a food that you eat into your body."

Reader ROSE also said: "Regarding the advertisement "1 candy equals a plate of vegetables", Quang Linh said this was a mistake in terminology on the livestream, why blame like that?".

Mr. Tran Thanh Tung shared his opinion: "There are many types of products that are advertised with exaggerated prices and then sold at high prices. The authorities need to clarify the matter, and if there are violations of the law, they will be disciplined. There are many famous people who advertise falsely."
