Since the beginning of 2024, Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch has drastically and effectively implemented solutions to facilitate import and export through the area. Statistics as of July 15 show that the Branch has attracted 980 enterprises to participate in import and export through the area, including 441 new enterprises (an increase of 76 enterprises compared to the same period in 2023).
The increase in the number of enterprises has brought the total number of declarations processed at the Branch to over 48,500, with the total import-export turnover of nearly 2.1 billion USD (an increase of 19% in declarations and 24% in turnover compared to the same period in 2023). The state budget revenue from import-export activities carried out by the Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch reached over 1,200 billion VND (an increase of 57% compared to the same period in 2023 and reaching 75.8% of the target assigned by the Quang Ninh Provincial Customs Department).
Promoting the positive results achieved, Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch will continue to proactively review the difficulties and shortcomings in the implementation of customs procedures in general, especially procedures related to specialized inspection of imported goods to propose reductions, amendments and supplements to facilitate import and export activities. At the same time, maintain cooperation with Dongxing Customs (China) within the framework of regulations to facilitate trade between the two sides; maintain monitoring and update information on the list of member enterprises participating in the Pilot Program to support and encourage enterprises to voluntarily comply with Customs laws; strengthen post-clearance inspection, risk management, customs control; promptly detect, arrest and handle acts of smuggling, trade fraud, illegal transportation of goods across the border, etc. Thereby contributing to creating an open, favorable and transparent business environment for enterprises.
