In the spirit of the whole Party heading towards the 14th National Congress, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is organizing Party congresses at all levels towards the 29th Congress of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. On January 20, the Party Cell of the Department of Law and International Treaties, Ministry of Foreign Affairs held the Congress for the 2025-2027 term.

Attending and giving speeches at the Congress were Nguyen Dac Thanh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; representatives of grassroots party committees under the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and all party members of the Party Cell of the Department of Law and International Treaties.
In the 2020-2025 term, the Party Cell of the Department of Law and International Treaties has led the Party Committee to actively and comprehensively deploy and successfully complete all tasks set out in the Resolution of the Party Cell Congress.
The Party Cell has completed 100% of the targets set for the 2022-2025 term, successfully implemented Party resolutions and directives from superiors, and completed regular and unexpected tasks.
Party building and leadership work, coordination in leadership in implementing political tasks have many important changes, building a strong, united collective, gathering the masses in the unit to join hands and contribute, successfully completing assigned professional tasks, focusing on strengthening the legal work, building laws of the Ministry, enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of international treaties and international agreements, promoting and raising the level of multilateral diplomacy, training and recommending international legal staff to international legal agencies.
At the Congress, delegates focused on thoroughly and in-depth discussions on the Political Report and the Review Report of the 2020-2025 mandate to objectively and comprehensively assess, clarify the advantages and limitations in the past term, point out the causes, draw lessons, directions, tasks, and targets for the 2025-2027 term.

In addition to the Political Report, the Congress promoted the responsibility and intelligence of delegates to discuss and contribute ideas to build the draft documents of the 29th Congress of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the 14th National Party Congress, which highlighted the political tasks of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its units, requiring cadres and party members to continuously study, cultivate and practice to improve their moral qualities and professional capacity, promote creativity in organization, management and operation, and perform well the role and responsibility of advising and proposing policies and measures to further improve work efficiency.
The overarching goal of the Party Cell is to do well in the work of building and developing the Party, building the Party Cell of the Department of Law and International Treaties to be united, clean, strong, improve capacity and qualifications, perform well the political tasks of the unit, and meet the requirements of national development in the new era - the era of national development.
In the spirit of solidarity, democracy and innovation, the Congress elected the Executive Committee for the 2025-2027 term, consisting of 5 comrades, and elected a delegation to attend the 29th Congress of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
