A fight over a debt left one person dead and one injured.

At about 11:05 a.m. on June 16, 2023, on the old National Highway 47, in Dong Khe commune (Dong Son), a slashing incident occurred due to a conflict over a debt, leaving one person dead on the spot and one injured.

It is known that in the process of doing business and trading, from December 2022 to present, Ms. Le Thi Ha, born in 1987, in Thong Nhat quarter, Rung Thong town, owed Le Huu Thuan, born in 1964, in village 1 Tuyen Hoa, Dong Khe commune (Dong Son) about 650 million VND. Thuan asked for money many times but Ms. Ha did not pay. Therefore, on the morning of June 16, 2023, Thuan called Ms. Ha to come to Thuan's house. After answering the phone, Ms. Ha and Le The Hoan, born in 2007, in Thong Nhat quarter, Rung Thong town, rode a motorbike with license plate 36B8-327.71 to Thuan's house. When they arrived at Thuan's gate, a conflict occurred, and Thuan used a sharp knife to stab Ms. Ha, killing her on the spot. After that, Thuan used a knife to injure Hoan. Afterwards, Hoan was taken to Thanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital by local people for emergency treatment.

After committing the crime, Thuan took a knife into the house, locked the door and intended to commit suicide. However, the Dong Son District Police and Dong Khe Commune Police persuaded him and brought him to the District Police for questioning.

The case is currently under further investigation by the police.
