Continue negotiating the purchase price of Mason Mount
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano updates the situation of MU's request to buy Mason Mount from Chelsea: the Red Devils' second offer continues to be rejected.
Mason Mount is on coach Erik ten Hag's priority shopping list for the new season's MU squad.
The England midfielder is also said to have chosen Old Trafford as his next destination, having firmly refused to extend his contract with Chelsea.
However, bad news came to the Red Devils, when “Chelsea rejected a second offer from MU for Mason Mount. The offer was sent on June 21 and was rejected just a few hours later.
MU raised the price to 50 million pounds (including 5 million pounds in additional fees) to buy Mount, but Chelsea wanted more (60 million pounds plus 5 million pounds in additional fees). The Red Devils will not pay a high fee but negotiations will continue.
Mason Mount has just one year left on his contract and is determined not to sign a new one with Chelsea due to a disagreement over wages.

MU chooses the attack line
The Manchester team recently announced that they are ready to give up on the blockbuster Harry Kane deal, due to difficulties in negotiating with chairman Daniel Levy.
However, in a last-ditch effort to lure the England striker, MU encouraged Harry Kane to make a transfer request or declare his desire to join the Old Trafford team.
This is a move to put pressure on Tottenham's chairman, who always maintains a tough stance when negotiating with partners in the Premier League.
The Red Devils value Kane at around 80 million pounds, while the London team insists on a fee of at least 100 million pounds before sitting down at the negotiating table.
This is a large amount of money for a player who is about to turn 30 and has only one year left on his contract like Harry Kane.
Kane himself has thought about leaving to seek titles. Coach Ten Hag also needs a top striker. However, MU will not let the deal drag on.
Recently, MU also considered other options for the attack, with the intention of buying Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta.

Fulham negotiate price to buy Fred
The Brazilian midfielder could leave Old Trafford this summer, with Fulham reportedly interested.
Coach Marco Silva has spoken to Fred and expressed his desire to bring him to Craven Cottage in the summer transfer window.
Fred's contract with MU still has one year left. So now is a good opportunity for them to collect money from selling the player, avoiding the risk of losing him for free next year.
The fee the Red Devils are asking for is £20 million, much lower than the £52 million that MU spent to recruit Fred in 2018.
According to the Telegraph , Fulham are trying to negotiate a lower fee, although according to many Red Devils fans, £20 million is still too cheap for a quality midfielder like Fred.
Under coach Ten Hag, the Brazilian star rarely played in the starting lineup. However, he was often used as a strategic reserve, playing 2,275 minutes in all competitions last season.
