Fire breaks out at 700 m2 warehouse in Hai Phong, black smoke billows hundreds of meters high

The leader of An Hong commune, An Duong district, Hai Phong city confirmed with Giao thong Newspaper reporter about a large fire happening in the commune.

The fire broke out at around 8pm on February 22nd, spreading rapidly and fiercely, lighting up the entire area. Black smoke billowed hundreds of metres high, accompanied by loud explosions coming from the burnt area.

The fire was raging fiercely, lighting up the whole area at night.

After receiving the news, Hai Phong City Police mobilized 10 fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire.

Present at the scene, Mr. Le Van Cuong, Vice Chairman of An Duong District People's Committee, said that no human casualties have been recorded and that forces are urgently working to control the fire.

It is known that the warehouse mainly contains plastic pellets, plastic products and other flammable items.
