"Before the opening ceremony, at 7:30 tomorrow, the delegation, Party and State leaders, and the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association will hold a flower offering ceremony at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh right in front of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
This morning, the Organizing Committee, together with VTV9, conducted a rehearsal of the entire opening program, and together with HTV, conducted a rehearsal of the closing program. Overview of the press conference
Mr. Tran Trong Dung also mentioned two new points of this year's National Press Festival. Specifically, the scale of the press agencies' booths is double that of the annual Press Festival held in Hanoi.
"This year, the Press Festival also has the participation of 64 OCOP product booths from 50 provinces and centrally-run cities, demonstrating the attraction and role of media and press in promoting regional economy and encouraging the development of rural products," said the Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Press Festival.
Along with that, this is the first time the Press Association has organized a National Press Forum with large-scale professional activities, with the participation of more than 60 speakers who are experienced journalists, leaders of leading press agencies in Vietnam, and prestigious international media experts.
The 2024 National Press Festival attracts the attention of central and local press agencies.
The 2024 National Press Festival brings together more than 600 central and local press agencies, including nearly 300 press agencies and all levels of the Vietnam Journalists Association in 63 provinces and cities across the country participating in displaying newspapers and introducing products on Le Loi Boulevard.
The units brought 112 special press exhibition booths of newspapers and magazines from popular to specialized, of major journalism training institutions in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, covering all aspects of economic - political - cultural - social - national defense - security - foreign affairs. Including 8 special exhibition booths of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam, Vietnam News Agency, Military Press, Public Security Press, Government Electronic Information Portal, National Assembly Office. In addition, there is an exhibition area about the history of Vietnamese press.
