Mr. Tran Trong Dung announced that this year's National Press Conference will open at 8:00 AM tomorrow (March 15th) on Le Loi Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, and will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television, Vietnam Radio, and the People's Voice of Ho Chi Minh City Radio. The closing ceremony will take place at 8:00 AM on March 17th, and will also be broadcast live on Vietnam Radio, Ho Chi Minh City Television, and the People's Voice of Ho Chi Minh City Radio.

"Before the opening ceremony, at 7:30 tomorrow morning, the delegation, leaders of the Party and State, and the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association will hold a wreath-laying ceremony at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh right in front of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee."
"This morning, the Organizing Committee, together with VTV9, conducted a full rehearsal of the opening ceremony program, and with HTV, a full rehearsal of the closing ceremony program. Through these rehearsals, the quality of the programs met the requirements set by the Organizing Committee," informed the Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association in charge of the Southern region.
Overview of the press conference
Mr. Tran Trong Dung also reiterated two new features of this year's National Press Conference. Specifically, the scale of the exhibition booths of press agencies is double that of the annual Press Conference held in Hanoi .
"This year's Press Festival also features 64 booths showcasing OCOP products from 50 provinces and centrally-governed cities, demonstrating the appeal and role of media and journalism in promoting regional economies and encouraging the development of rural products," stated the Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Press Festival.
Furthermore, this is the first time the Vietnam Press Association has organized a national press forum with large-scale professional activities, and the participation of more than 60 speakers including experienced journalists, leaders of leading Vietnamese media organizations, and reputable international media experts.
The 2024 National Press Conference attracted the attention of central and local press agencies.
The 2024 National Press Conference brought together more than 600 central and local press agencies, including nearly 300 press agencies and branches of the Vietnam Journalists Association in 63 provinces and cities nationwide participating in displaying and introducing press products on Le Loi Avenue.
The participating units brought 112 booths showcasing outstanding press publications, ranging from popular to specialized newspapers and magazines, from major journalism training institutions in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, covering all aspects of economic, political, cultural, social, defense, security, and foreign affairs. Among these were 8 special booths from Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam Television, Vietnam Radio, Vietnam News Agency, the Military Press Bloc, the Police Press Bloc, the Government Electronic Information Portal, and the National Assembly Office. In addition, there was an area dedicated to the history of Vietnamese journalism.
