"On a special occasion, the new beauty queen's manager contacted my fanpage to offer to buy two designs for the two most important competition nights because they had seen and consulted the previous designs. We completed two evening gowns in more than 30 days, in time to send them to Thailand for the beauty queen to wear," Thuong Gia Ky said.
Rachel Gupta's Miss Grand International 2024 final dress was stunning in its beauty. Sharing the idea, the designer said the final dress was inspired by the majestic Garuda of India, the mythical bird of Lord Vishnu. The golden feathers, highlighted with blue and green, symbolize wealth and divinity.

The design perfectly blends cultural heritage with modern luxury, reflecting the timeless charm and vibrant spirit of India. The image of the bird also brings the meaning of freedom, peace… true to the message of the program.
The young designer said the evening gown featured a unique skirt on the body, designed with an elaborate mesh shape. Each crystal and sapphire stone was arranged in an ombre effect, combined with feathers to create a splendid look. The bold yet delicate cut helped to accentuate the new beauty queen's figure.

In addition to the final dress, Thuong Gia Ky also designed a semi-final dress for Rachel Gupta inspired by the traditional Indian women's dress with a veil. Wearing a pink dress - her favorite color, the new beauty queen made a strong impression with her confident and charming beauty.
According to the designer, the most difficult part is probably the color transition technique, as well as the processing and selection of suitable stones for each evening gown. "This is a fate for us when working with the new beauty queen. Ky has truly put her heart and good luck wishes into the designs for the new Miss India," he confided.

"The Indian beauty queen is an extremely beautiful girl. You attract all eyes. Not only that, you are also very gentle, making everyone feel comfortable when interacting with you. In addition, during the process of working, I also learned that you are a vegetarian. Hearing that, I really admire and am inspired by you," Ky said.
Accompanying many beauties in beauty contests
Previously, due to difficult circumstances, he could not study design. During his studies at Saigon International Film School SIFS, he worked as a teaching assistant for Meritorious Artist Ngoc Hiep and attended short-term courses to save on tuition fees. Later, he pursued a career as a professional hair stylist. However, his dream of becoming a fashion designer was still burning. Gradually, Mr. Ky found a way to return to design when he had more financial resources and conditions. He has accompanied many Vietnamese representatives in beauty pageants such as Khanh Van, Thuy Tien, Dang Thanh Ngan, Lydie Vu, etc.
