Through actual inspection, it is shown that localities have made great efforts in implementing land acquisition and clearance, especially Gio Linh district. Currently, affected households on the main route through the district are urgently dismantling their old houses and constructing houses in the resettlement area to hand over the site to the construction unit. For Vinh Linh district, there are still 1.85 km of land that have not been handed over, including 950 m related to Quang Tri Forestry Products Joint Stock Company and some households are facing many difficulties.

The remaining undelivered land is mainly in densely populated areas such as Gio An and Linh Truong communes (Gio Linh district), Ben Quan town, and Vinh Ha commune (Vinh Linh district). Some people have not agreed to receive the money because the unit price is low. The locality is actively propagating and mobilizing people to agree soon, receive compensation and hand over the land.

Through the actual inspection, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung requested Vinh Linh and Gio Linh districts to continue mobilizing the entire political system to participate with the most drastic and urgent spirit, both to propagate and mobilize people to agree with the policy of implementing the national key project, and to be impartial, objective and responsible in applying support and compensation policies for affected households. Localities are required to hand over all cleared land to the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board no later than May 30, 2024.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted that in case all policies beneficial to the people have been applied according to the provisions of law but the people still do not agree, measures must be taken to protect the construction. The Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board is requested to immediately start construction at locations where the land has been handed over to ensure progress.

Regarding the progress of resettlement areas serving the Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway project, up to now, the resettlement areas of Vinh Khe, Vinh Ha, Ben Quan town (Vinh Linh district) and Gio An resettlement area (Gio Linh district) have basically completed infrastructure construction. The remaining resettlement areas have all achieved a volume of over 90%. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee commended the pioneering households for handing over the site, agreeing and supporting the project implementation policy.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the resettlement areas selected for construction are in quite favorable locations, with synchronous infrastructure investment, so he hopes that families will encourage each other to build houses early before the flood season, and work together to build this new residential area into a model residential area. At the same time, he noted that localities should plan green areas and service areas in the resettlement areas to create a green, clean, and beautiful landscape, facilitating people's lives.
