On behalf of the Party and State leaders and the working delegation, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man respectfully sent to the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Labor Heroes, war invalids, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, and people with meritorious services to the revolution of Hau Giang province his warm regards, deep affection and deep gratitude.

The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that taking care of families of war invalids, martyrs, and families with revolutionary contributions is the moral of our nation to remember the source of water when drinking water and repaying gratitude. The Party and State always pay attention to families of war invalids, martyrs, and people with revolutionary contributions through many policies such as developing the local socio-economy, taking care of families of policy beneficiaries, families of war invalids, martyrs, supporting housing, supporting preferential policies for children of war invalids and martyrs, and renovating cemeteries every year.

The National Assembly Chairman said that recently, President To Lam signed a decision to give gifts to more than 1.3 million people with meritorious services on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day with a total cost of 420 billion VND.

Currently, the whole country has more than 9.2 million people who have contributed to the revolution, including nearly 1.2 million martyrs; nearly 500,000 relatives of martyrs; over 117,000 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; nearly 600,000 war invalids and beneficiaries of policies like war invalids. Of which, Hau Giang province has 36,243 people who have contributed to the revolution.

In recent times, although it is the most difficult province in the Mekong Delta, with local efforts, support from the State and other resources, Hau Giang province has taken care of families of war invalids, martyrs, and families with revolutionary contributions, including completing the construction of gratitude houses to support war invalids and building Great Solidarity houses for poor households.

In the coming time, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man suggested that Hau Giang province continue to focus on synchronously and comprehensively implementing Directive No. 14 of the Secretariat on continuing to strengthen the Party's leadership over the work of people with revolutionary contributions through extremely practical actions, so that these families can enjoy preferential policies of the Party and State.

The province strongly launched the "Repaying gratitude" movements, mobilizing the whole society regularly and continuously to take care of families with revolutionary contributions, especially families of war invalids, martyrs, and families with contributions in difficult circumstances.

"Immediately implement the adjustment to increase pensions, social insurance, preferential allowances for people with revolutionary contributions, and social allowances that will take effect from July 1, 2024, according to the Resolution of the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly, timely payment, ensuring that beneficiaries are happy and excited" - National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized.

The National Assembly Chairman also noted that, along with increasing wages, it is also necessary to control prices, increase wages but not prices, ensuring the lives of people in general and policy beneficiaries in particular.

The National Assembly Chairman requested Hau Giang province to continue to launch a strong movement throughout the Party, the army, the people, the Fatherland Front, organizations, sectors, and levels to take care of the families of war invalids, martyrs, and people with revolutionary contributions, creating widespread awareness within the Party and among the people that caring for the families of war invalids, martyrs, and families with revolutionary contributions is a regular and continuous task.

At the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man presented 20 gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, policy families, and people with revolutionary contributions; and witnessed representatives of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group presenting 100 Great Solidarity houses.
