Mr. Abu Bakar, 70 years old, was born in Bangladesh, and left his homeland 31 years ago to find work in Malaysia.

In an interview with Humans of Kuala Lumpur , a Malaysian media outlet, he said he came to this country because he heard there were many job opportunities here. Over the years, he has been willing to take on hard jobs that few people want to do. For 27 years, Mr. Bakar has worked seven days a week and has never asked for a day off. He regularly sends most of the money he earns back home to support his children's education.

“I have not been back to Bangladesh since I came here. I miss my family and they miss me too but all I do is give my children a better future,” Mr. Bakar shared.

He describes his daily routine as simple and repetitive: “Every day, I wake up, shower, eat breakfast, go to work, come home, call my family, and rest.”

The father’s hard work was not in vain. His daughter became a respected judge, and his two sons are now doctors and engineers. “I really appreciate what they have achieved,” he said.

According to Humans of Kuala Lumpur , Mr. Bakar has now returned to Bangladesh to reunite with his family. When he left, his fifth child was only 6 months old.

His story has attracted attention on social media and has been admired by many. One reader commented: “What a wonderful example. His strong faith and love for his family have helped him get through these years.”

“Never underestimate the value of labor. People like you have built a better future for your family with your own hands and deserve everyone’s respect,” another person emphasized.

However, according to SCMP , a netizen criticized the janitor’s child, saying: “If I were a judge, doctor or engineer, I would have sent my father back to the countryside a long time ago. No parent should have to suffer so that their child can become famous.”

The image of a father wearing a black shirt and white scarf taking his son to the high school graduation exam is touching. His wife passed away a week ago, Mr. Dung suppressed his pain and took his son to the high school graduation exam.
