On the morning of February 6, Ho Chi Minh New Energy Club (NEH club) held a ceremony to inaugurate, operate and hand over the Solar Sunflower Tree to the People's Committee of Thu Duc City (HCMC) at Saigon Riverside Park.
The "Sunflower Solar Power" project has an installed capacity of 2kWp, generating an average of 2.9 MWh of electricity per year.
The solar sunflower tree has a unique design with each sunflower petal connected to a microinverter underneath that converts current from DC to AC to provide electricity for park operations.
Solar sunflowers can provide electricity for household appliances in the park during the day.
Therefore, in addition to the decorative element, this solar power system will provide electricity for household electrical appliances in the park during the day, water the plants, help save electricity costs, protect the environment and create a highlight for the park.
According to the NEH club representative, when clean energy is widely used, it will help raise public awareness of the importance of environmental protection.
People will better understand the impact of environmental pollution on their lives and health. From there, they will be more aware of using clean energy and protecting the environment.
"Sunflower Solar Power" project aims to promote the development of green, clean energy in Ho Chi Minh City
Ho Chi Minh New Energy Club is a non-profit organization established in 2023 by the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment (HANE).
