Today (January 13), the leader of Dak Lak Urban and Environment Joint Stock Company confirmed that a large banyan tree in Tan Loi Ward (Buon Ma Thuot City) fell and hit a pedestrian. The tree's roots are inside the house at 221 Phan Chu Trinh Street, Tan Loi Ward.

"This banyan tree is inside a residential house and is not under the management of the unit. Currently, we are having workers clean up the scene to ensure traffic safety," said this leader.

Earlier, at around 7am this morning, the above banyan tree suddenly had a large branch break and fell onto Phan Chu Trinh Street.

At this time, Ms. LTNA (born in 2004, residing in Thanh Hoa) was riding a motorbike with license plate 36D1 - 779XX passing by when she was suddenly hit by a falling tree branch, resulting in injury. Ms. A. was taken to the Central Highlands General Hospital for observation.

The incident also caused traffic congestion in the area.
