(Dan Tri) - The Guardian has just announced a list of the 60 most promising young talents in the world in 2023. Among them, midfielder Le Dinh Long Vu was included in this list.

The Guardian is one of the most prestigious newspapers in the UK and the world. Every year, this newspaper publishes a list of the 60 most promising talents based on data provided from all over the world.

Notably, in the 2023 list recently published by the Guardian, Vietnamese football has a representative, midfielder Le Dinh Long Vu. The British newspaper commented on the talent of the 17-year-old Vietnamese player: "Vietnamese football produces many players with good technique, speed, and ball handling with both feet. Among them, Long Vu has brought a lot of excitement to fans.

The young midfielder made a special impression at the U17 Asian Cup and has even been called up to the Vietnam U23 team. Long Vu’s speed and dribbling ability have seen him compared to Man City star Phil Foden.

Not every young player develops his full potential, but with a coach and a club with the right development strategy, Long Vu can go far in his career."

The year 2023 witnessed the remarkable progress of Long Vu. The midfielder of Song Lam Nghe An shone at the U17 Asian tournament and contributed a beautiful goal. After that, he was part of the U23 Vietnam squad participating in the U23 Asian tournament. In the U21 Song Lam Nghe An jersey, he contributed to helping the home team win the runner-up position in the national U21 tournament.

Long Vu has worn the Song Lam Nghe An shirt in a few friendly matches but he needs to gain more experience to be ready to play in the V-League.

The midfielder born in 2006 is the second player in the history of Vietnamese football to be included in the Guardian's list of 60 most promising young players. In 2014, Phan Thanh Hau was also honored in this list.

Unfortunately, the player who grew up at Hoang Anh Gia Lai training center has not been able to develop as expected.
