Hanoi FC announced that they have successfully recruited Vietnamese-American player Pierre Lamothe (27 years old): "Midfielder Pierre Lamothe will wear the Hanoi Football Club shirt for the remainder of the 2024/2025 V.League season". The midfielder born in 1997 will play for the capital team for 2 seasons.
Pierre Lamothe played for Quang Nam club in the 2023-2024 V.League season. He played 13 matches in V.League and 1 match in the national cup for Quang Nam club.
Previously, Lamothe only played in Canada. Hanoi FC assessed this player as "aggressive, technical, and enthusiastic" and Lamothe's presence "promises to bring new vitality and significantly increase the quality of the midfield".

After a period of playing football on loan in Quang Nam and playing well, Lamothe was called back by his parent club Pacific FC. Earlier this year, Pierre Lamothe decided to return to V.League to join Hanoi FC after saying goodbye to the Canadian team.

Pierre Lamothe has a Canadian father and a Vietnamese mother. He was born on September 18, 1997 in Canada, trained in football in this North American country and played for several professional teams in the Canadian leagues. Pierre Lamothe is known as an attacking midfielder and is valued at around 3 billion VND by Transfermarkt. During his career, Pierre Lamothe has played for many clubs in Canada such as FC Montreal, CS Longueuil, AS Blainville, HFX Wanderers and Pacific FC.
