The KFA is scheduled to hold the first meeting of the National Team Power Enhancement Committee in 2024 at the Jongno-gu Football Center (Seoul) on the afternoon of February 15. Following that, at 2 p.m., there will be a press conference to announce the discussed content. The meeting will be attended by the team's technical director - Michael Muller and 5 other senior figures in Korean football.

Notably, coach Jurgen Klinsmann and his entire coaching staff have left Korea and will attend the meeting via video conference. Meanwhile, it is still unknown whether or not the president of the Korean Football Association - Chung Mong-gyu will appear because he has been completely silent since the 2023 Asian Cup.

The Korean national team brawl is more serious than people think.

On February 13, the day before the Korean national team players' brawl was exposed, the KFA held a free-discussion meeting without Chung Mong-gyu, the highest decision-maker. The opinions of the executives were initially gathered before the Power Enhancement Committee. At that time, four full-time vice presidents: Kim Jeong-bae, Jang Oe-ryong, Lee Seok-jae, Choi Young-il were in attendance. According to the Korean media, the focus was on the need to fire coach Jurgen Klinsmann.

However, because it was held without key figures such as coach Jurgen Klinsmann and Mr. Chung Mong-gyu, it was considered a "contentless" meeting.

Two important figures, coach Jurgen Klinsmann (right) and President Chung Mong-gyu, were absent.

“The KFA has been criticized for holding a show-off meeting. The meeting involved coach Jurgen Klinsmann through the Power Enhancement Committee but no conclusions were reached,” OSEN wrote.

Immediately after South Korea lost 0-2 to Jordan in the Asian Cup semi-finals on February 6, rumors of coach Jurgen Klinsmann's dismissal emerged in the country. The Korean media approached President Chung Mong-gyu for an answer, but he still ignored the boiling sentiment of the Korean people.

“As the head of the KFA, Chung Mong-gyu has turned a deaf ear to all issues. He did not consider whether to fire coach Jurgen Klinsmann or not, but surprisingly, he chose to skip all meetings and refuse to answer any questions,” commented CSB channel.

President Chung Mong-gyu has been avoiding everything since the 2023 Asian Cup.

Meanwhile, Yonhap news agency criticized: “After being eliminated in the Asian Cup semi-finals, coach Jurgen Klinsmann emphasized: “I will go to Korea and analyze everything” but then he left for a vacation in the US on February 10 - two days after returning to Korea.

Chung Mong-gyu could not have been unaware of the indignation of the Korean public. However, the KFA turned a blind eye to this news and allowed coach Jurgen Klinsmann to work from home. Therefore, President Chung Mong-gyu had to bear this personally. President Chung Mong-gyu's poor management skills have been exposed.

On February 13, the People's Livelihood Countermeasures Committee announced that it had filed a complaint with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency against Chairman Chung Mong-gyu for coercion, obstruction of business, and breach of trust of the Korean people.

Mr. Chung Mong-gyu has been to Qatar and met many times with coach Jurgen Klinsmann and players of the Korean team.

Chairman Chung Mong-gyu remains silent, angering Korean fans. Controversies continue to arise in the national team managed by the KFA. Now, in addition to firing coach Jurgen Klinsmann, Korean fans also want Chairman Chung Mong-gyu to resign.
