(Dan Tri) - Giving a 100,000 VND bill to pay for the bus ticket, the woman was surprised when the bus conductor said he wouldn't take the money and gave her an additional 500,000 VND with the message "keep trying".
Recently, a video of a male bus conductor helping a passenger in difficult circumstances attracted millions of views and comments on social networks.
In the video, the bus conductor asks each passenger about their destination before collecting the fare. When he gets to the middle row, he hears the woman say she is on her way to Thanh Khe, Quang Binh. Realizing that the female passenger is a dialysis patient, the young man refuses to collect the fare.
The woman was surprised when the bus conductor did not collect the fare and even gave her an extra 500,000 VND (Clip: NVCC).
"Please keep the money, I'll give it to you," the bus conductor said without taking the money, then gave the female passenger another 500,000 VND.
When the woman questioned the reason and refused to accept the money, the bus conductor tactfully explained that "this is money sent by the online community".
It is known that the bus conductor in the video that has gone viral on social media is Mr. Pham Phuong Nam, 29 years old, from Quang Binh. The young man is working as a bus conductor on the Ba Don - Dong Hoi route.
Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Nam said that since starting his career as a driver, he decided to exempt passengers from difficult and unfortunate circumstances.
"My basic salary is 4 million VND per month. In addition, the company allows us to keep the money earned from shipping goods to cover food expenses. I often use this money to give to people in difficult circumstances," said Mr. Nam.
According to Mr. Nam, because he works as a bus conductor, he often encounters difficult situations. Whenever he has extra money, he will give some to the unfortunate to share.
"The amount of money is not much, but it is my heart, helping them save every penny. If I just eat a little less and spend less, I can have some extra money to share with those in more difficult circumstances than me," the 29-year-old man confided.
About a year ago, Mr. Nam started sharing videos of supporting passengers on social networks because he wanted to preserve good memories.
After the clips were shared, many people admired the young man's heart and offered to contribute to support other difficult situations. However, Mr. Nam refused all help.
"I will help as much as I can, I don't want to bother anyone. I don't make videos to become famous or to ask for sponsorship. I just want to keep my happy moments every day," the bus conductor added.
