Born with an abnormally developed leg, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue (Van Quan Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi) had a difficult childhood. Unable to participate in recreational activities with her peers, Ms. Hue often faced unfriendly looks.
"When I was young, people around me often looked at me differently. My legs were weak, so I had to use my hands to support myself when moving. Many people walking behind me also supported themselves with their hands. At that time, I was really sad and afraid to go out," Ms. Hue shared.
Ms. Hue brings to the Love Station program decorations made from recycled materials.
However, it was the disadvantage from childhood that became the motivation for her to change. Instead of closing herself off, Ms. Hue learned a trade on her own and actively participated in support groups for the disabled. Thanks to this, she gradually found joy and reduced her inferiority complex. Here, she also met her "other half" - Mr. Tran Dang Binh, who later became her husband and an important companion in life.
Chance meeting and piece of happiness
The love story of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue and Mr. Tran Dang Binh is a testament to the power of love to overcome obstacles. As if by fate, the shop where the tailor Nguyen Thi Hue worked was located next to Mr. Binh's office. This was "where love began" for the two.Mr. Binh has been paralyzed in one leg since he was 2 years old, and he also experienced many losses in his childhood. But like Mrs. Hue, he is not self-conscious, but on the contrary, always tries hard to study and is optimistic about life. And it is this spirit that makes Mr. Binh's life colorful and happier since he met Mrs. Hue.
Happy love story of disabled couple
"My house is on Kham Thien street, I go to work by bus every day. When I get off the bus and walk past the tailor shop to go to work, I often stop by because I see someone in the same situation and they are also pretty...", Mr. Binh happily recalls.
Despite the dissuasion from both families and the apprehensive gaze from society, they still decided to be together. The wedding took place with the blessings of their friends. Love not only helped them overcome difficulties but also laid the foundation for a small family filled with joy, with two children achieving excellent academic results.
Spread love to the community
Family happiness does not make Ms. Hue forget about people in the same situation. In her role as Vice President of the Association of People with Disabilities in Ha Dong District, Ms. Hue actively participates in local activities, especially calling on organizations and individuals to support cash, medicine, and necessities for poor and sick disabled members. And she has become an inspiration and a bridge of love for the community.
Mr. Binh also always accompanies his wife in all work. "He often helps me transport things and shares the work at the association," Mrs. Hue emotionally shared. With the support from the whole family, she always hopes that the Association of the Disabled in Ha Dong District will grow more and more, becoming a solid support for its members.
The story of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue and Mr. Tran Dang Binh is not only a journey to overcome all barriers but also a profound lesson about the value of resilience, faith and love. They are an inspiration for the disabled community and all of us who may be facing difficulties in life, a clear proof that: when the heart knows how to love and the will is strong enough, nothing is impossible.
The program Love Station - Pieces of Happiness will bring a simple yet happy love story about the family of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hue and Mr. Tran Dang Binh, broadcast on VTV1 channel at 10:00 on November 30.
