The three Kim Ngan brothers during the recording of the program Vietnamese Family Home
At the end of the year, family members often gather together to take family photos, even if they are hasty photos taken with a phone. However, they are still precious moments, a place to preserve family memories. However, not every family, nor every child, has the opportunity to own those photos, to record happy moments together. For the three children of Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, currently living in M'Drak district, Dak Lak province, a family photo is even more of a luxury. Kim Ngan used to have a warm and happy family, being the youngest daughter in the family, loved by her parents and two older brothers. Although not a rich family, they were always filled with affection and attachment, creating a warm home filled with love. But ironically, when she was just 7 years old, her mother suddenly passed away from a stroke after a hard day's work in the fields. Her father was so sad that he fell ill and passed away a year later. From the happiest child, Kim Ngan suddenly became an orphan. The eldest brother Nguyen Van Loi (2007), who was only 14 years old at the time, had to put aside his unfinished books to start working. Loi became the pillar of the family, taking on the responsibility of taking care of his younger siblings, giving his younger sister the opportunity to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher. Even in his dreams, he saw his parents reminding him of the responsibilities of the eldest brother in the family. Four years have passed, Kim Ngan and her two older brothers have not had a decent, complete family meal. Their parents are no longer around, Loi is still too young to find a stable job, and does not have much income to take care of his younger siblings. It was not until recently that Loi was introduced by an acquaintance to work in another province to have a stable income to support his younger siblings. The family photo was reconstructed from the parents' portrait and the photos of the three siblings participating in the Vietnamese Family Shelter program.
Kim Ngan's second brother is Nguyen Van Danh (2009), studying in grade 10 at Nguyen Truong To High School. Although they are only in their teens, they have to take care of everything themselves. When the eldest brother goes to work far away, the second brother and Kim Ngan stay home to take care of each other and help each other study. The children's grandparents live nearby but are both over 70 years old. Their income from growing vegetables for sale is only enough to cover meals and occasionally come over to look after their two grandchildren. Watching the program Vietnamese Family Shelter and could not control their emotions when witnessing the pitiful situation of the three Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan siblings, Mr. Phung Quang Trung, living in Hanoi - a photographer specializing in photo restoration, decided to make the dream come true for the three orphaned siblings.Full photo of Kim Ngan's family members
Although he has restored many portraits of the deceased, the dream of Kim Ngan's brothers is still very special to Trung. The photo was restored based on the portrait of his father and mother and the photo of the three brothers when they participated in the program Vietnamese Family Warmth. Trung said: "I finished this photo at 3am with a lot of emotions, I really hope to have fulfilled the children's wishes" . This special family photo was posted on social networks, receiving thousands of likes and words of encouragement from the online community sent to the three Kim Ngan brothers as well as thanks for the photographer's heart. An audience left a comment: "This is probably the most beautiful photo today, very beautiful and extremely meaningful. I hope the children will be happy and joyful when receiving this gift. Thank you very much. I wish you always have good health to continue your journey of drawing smiles for situations like this" .
