Twins in Thanh Hoa won first prize in Biology in the national excellent student exam

They are brothers Nguyen Le Bao Long (class 12H - specialized in Chemistry) and Nguyen Le Thanh Cong (class 12S - specialized in Biology) who both won first prize in Biology.

Sharing with the press, Long and Cong said they were very happy with the results they had just achieved. Both are continuing to try to study hard to participate in the next exams.

Long shared that although he is a student majoring in Chemistry, he also loves Biology because of its logic and interesting nature. Therefore, Long always researches and makes constant efforts to satisfy his passion.

As for Cong, since he started learning Biology, he has loved this subject. Therefore, Cong spends a lot of time accumulating knowledge and systematizing it before taking the exam.

According to Long, Cong and their families, both brothers share the same dream of becoming doctors. After finishing the national excellent student exam, the two brothers are continuing to study for the upcoming international excellent student exam.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Principal of Lam Son High School for the Gifted, added that in the national excellent student exam for the 2023-2024 school year, the school had 83 out of 84 students winning prizes in Thanh Hoa province. Of the 84 students who won prizes, there were 9 first prizes, 22 second prizes, 23 third prizes and 30 consolation prizes. Of which, Biology is the subject with students winning the most first prizes in this year's exam (3 prizes).

Before the exam, we prepared very early. Starting from the end of the previous school year, the school proactively established qualifying teams, reviewed during the summer, and provided additional knowledge for the students. This year, Thanh Hoa province participated in the national excellent student selection exam with 90 candidates, divided equally into 9 subjects: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography and English.
