Emergency care after nose filler injection at a sticky rice shop

Ho Chi Minh City, 21-year-old man, injected filler for feng shui nose lift at a sticky rice and bread shop, 5 minutes later had headache with vomiting, pain in right eye, blurred vision.

The patient was taken to the People's Hospital 115 for emergency treatment, then transferred to Cho Ray Hospital for further treatment. The filler was purchased online by a woman for VND300,000 and injected into the young man. The facility hung a sign selling bread and savory sticky rice and had a student dormitory for rent, with no legal documents related to medical examination and treatment activities.

Fillers are increasingly used in cosmetic services, dominating other beauty methods thanks to their simple technique, less pain, immediate and long-lasting effects, and no need for surgery. In particular, they tend to move into establishments such as hotels and motels to avoid authorities. The practitioners do not have a practice certificate, secretly perform the procedure, and cause accidents and deaths to users.
