Dien Chau - Bai Vot Expressway operates smoothly

In harsh weather conditions and rapid construction, especially the construction volume at the point leading from the highway to National Highway 46B at VSIP Industrial Park, Hung Tay Commune and Than Vu Tunnel is still quite large, but with the high determination of the construction units, Dien Chau - Bai Vot highway has completed 30 km in time for the April 30 - May 1 holiday to serve the travel needs of the people.

Immediately after the inauguration ceremony and technical opening of the North-South expressway, Dien Chau - Bai Vot section on the afternoon of April 28, at exactly 7:00 a.m. on April 29, the barriers at the intersection from the North to the South and from National Highway 7A in Dien Cat commune (Dien Chau) as well as the intersection from National Highway 46B next to VSIP Industrial Park in Hung Tay commune (Hung Nguyen) to the North-South expressway in the opposite direction were officially removed to allow traffic to flow.

According to the representative of Road Management Area II (Ministry of Transport), a few days before the inauguration and technical opening ceremony, the Department sent traffic inspectors to assist construction units in guiding traffic at the intersection of the North-South Expressway with National Highway 46B in Hung Tay commune and the intersection with N5 Road (National Highway 7C) in Nghi Phuong commune, Nghi Loc.

Preliminary statistics after 4 days of operation show that tens of thousands of cars have traveled on this highway. Except for a few cases of out-of-province cars that were confused because they were not familiar with the road, the operation of the 30 km new highway from Dien Chau to Hung Tay and vice versa has ensured safety conditions.

The representative of Hoa Hiep Company Limited also said: the unit has made the greatest effort to ensure the lighting signal system, ventilation tunnel system as well as fire prevention and fighting conditions inside Than Vu tunnel. Immediately after the inauguration ceremony, the Company is directing the construction teams to urgently complete the operating house in the North of Than Vu tunnel; continue to construct Than Vu II tunnel and complete some other auxiliary items such as corridor fences, signs and toll stations.
