"I'm so happy to be at the festival this year, it feels really nostalgic because I used to go to Cannes back then to see the first Indiana Jones and Star Wars films.
Obviously I have a lot of fans, but I've never made an Academy Award-winning film. That's why the honorary Palme d'Or is a great honor in my career" - George Lucas shared with the audience.
On the homepage of the Cannes International Film Festival, the organizers specially honored him with a photo collage of characters and classic locations in the Star Wars series with the background of Cannes locations such as screening rooms, red carpets, etc.
