(NLDO) - Ho Chi Minh City will set off fireworks at 15 locations across the city to welcome the Lunar New Year 2025.
On January 26, a representative of the Traffic Police Department (PC08) of Ho Chi Minh City Police announced traffic adjustments in the city center to serve the fireworks display program to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2025.

According to PC08, from 8:30 p.m. on January 28 to 0:30 a.m. on January 29, all vehicles are prohibited from traveling on the following routes:
+ Le Loi Street (section from Pasteur to Dong Khoi).
+ Nguyen Hue Street (section from Le Thanh Ton to Ton Duc Thang).
+ Dong Khoi Street (section from Mac Thi Buoi to Ton Duc Thang).
+ Ton Duc Thang Street (from Nguyen Sieu to Khanh Hoi Bridge).
+ Vo Van Kiet Street (section from Ho Tung Mau to Khanh Hoi bridge underpass).
+ Ngo Van Nam Street (from Nguyen Sieu to Ton Duc Thang).
+ Nguyen Sieu Street (section from Ngo Van Nam to Ton Duc Thang).
+ Nguyen Tat Thanh Street (section from Hoang Dieu to Khanh Hoi Bridge).
+ Ham Nghi Street (section from Ho Tung Mau to Ton Duc Thang).
+ Hai Trieu Street (section from Ho Tung Mau to Nguyen Hue).
+ Nguyen Thiep Street (section from Dong Khoi to Nguyen Hue).
+ Huynh Thuc Khang Street (section from Ho Tung Mau to Nguyen Hue).
+ Ton That Thiep Street (section from Ho Tung Mau to Nguyen Hue).
+ Ngo Duc Ke Street (section from Dong Khoi to Ho Tung Mau).

+ The routes around Me Linh Square roundabout include Ngo Duc Ke (to Dong Khoi Street), Ho Huan Nghiep (to Dong Khoi Street), Phan Van Dat (to Mac Thi Buoi Street), Thi Sach (to Dong Du Street), Hai Ba Trung (to Mac Thi Buoi Street).
+ Ba Son Bridge, Khanh Hoi Bridge.

- Direction from Binh Thanh district to district 4: Nguyen Huu Canh (Binh Thanh district) - Ton Duc Thang - Nguyen Du - Cach Mang Thang Tam - Nguyen Thi Nghia - Nguyen Thai Hoc - Ong Lanh bridge - Hoang Dieu - Nguyen Tat Thanh (district 4).
- Direction from District 4 to Binh Thanh District: Nguyen Tat Thanh (District 4) Hoang Dieu - Ong Lanh Bridge - Nguyen Thai Hoc - Nguyen Thi Nghia - Cach Mang Thang Tam - Nguyen Thi Minh Khai - Xo Viet Nghe Tinh (Binh Thanh District).
- Direction from Thu Duc city to district 3, 5: Vo Nguyen Giap (Thu Duc city) - Dien Bien Phu - Dinh Tien Hoang - Vo Thi Sau - Ba Thang Hai - Le Hong Phong (district 5).
- Direction from District 3, 5 to Thu Duc City: Le Hong Phong (District 5) - Dien Bien Phu - Vo Nguyen Giap (Thu Duc City).
- For routes leading to Me Linh Square roundabout (including: Phan Van Dat, Ho Huan Nghiep, Ngo Duc Ke): Only travel towards Me Linh Square, do not move towards Dong Khoi (for remaining vehicles in Dong Khoi area after being isolated to serve the program).
- All types of vehicles are prohibited from stopping and gathering to watch fireworks on Thu Thiem Bridge, Binh Loi Bridge, Binh Trieu Bridge, Mong Bridge, Calmette Bridge, Ong Lanh Bridge, Hang Xanh Crossroads Overpass, Go Dua Crossroads Overpass, Binh Trieu Bridge, Phu My Bridge, Nguyen Huu Canh Overpass, Kenh Thanh Da Bridge, Saigon Bridge, and Rach Chiec Bridge.
Note: Drivers traveling to routes adjacent to isolated areas and road closures to serve the fireworks display program to welcome the Lunar New Year 2025 must reduce speed and comply with the instructions of the Traffic Police force, forces participating in ensuring traffic order and safety or the traffic signal system on the road.
PC08 also said that based on the actual traffic situation, PC08 will organize forces to adjust traffic flow appropriately, minimizing the impact on the daily lives of people traveling through the organization area and these routes.
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued an official dispatch directing the organization of fireworks displays to welcome the Lunar New Year 2025.
Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City will set off fireworks at 15 locations throughout the city.
Of which, 2 high-altitude fireworks displays will be held at the Saigon River Tunnel, Thu Duc City and Ben Duoc Martyrs Memorial Area, Cu Chi District.
13 low-altitude shooting locations include: Thao Dien urban area, Thu Duc city; Rach Dia bridge area, Nha Be district; Saigon river area, near Rach Chiec bridge, Thu Duc city (shooting on barge); Dam Sen cultural park, district 11; Ben Noc memorial temple, Thu Duc city.
In addition, there are the following locations: Memorial area of the 1968 Tet Offensive and Uprising, Binh Chanh district; Tay Bac Industrial Park, Cu Chi district; Rung Sac Martyrs Memorial Temple, Can Gio district; District 7 Administrative Center Square; 38-hectare Residential Park, Tan Thoi Nhat Ward, District 12; Hoa Binh Square, Go Vap district; Nga Ba Giong Martyrs Memorial Area, Hoc Mon district; Binh Dien Market area, District 8.
Fireworks display will last for 15 minutes, from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 29 (January 1, At Ty year), funded by socialized sources.
