On December 20, a representative of the Traffic Police Department (PC08) of Ho Chi Minh City Police said that in the morning of the same day, PC08 Department coordinated and supported medical staff from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to safely transport two corneas, one liver, and two kidneys to hospitals for transplant to waiting patients.
Of which, two corneas were transported to be transplanted to a patient at Cho Ray Hospital, the liver was transported to be transplanted to a patient at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, the left kidney was transported to be transplanted to a patient at Children's Hospital 2 and the right kidney was transported to the airport, then continued to be transported to be transplanted to a patient at the National Children's Hospital in Hanoi.
Previously, immediately after receiving information about support for transporting corneas and organs of donors, PC08 Department directed the units/stations, in which the main force was officers and soldiers of the Patrol Team to quickly deploy forces to coordinate with the district and county police to effectively implement the plan to safely guide groups transporting corneas and organs.
The time of movement of the cornea and organ transport teams is during rush hour, when traffic density is high. Therefore, the command of the department has requested officers and soldiers of the units/stations to uphold their sense of responsibility and properly perform their assigned tasks.
Especially at intersections on the travel route of the groups, there must be a permanent traffic police force to regulate and direct traffic, helping the group move continuously without encountering any obstacles.

Escorting delegations is one of the key tasks of the traffic police force. In recent times, the Traffic Police Department has supported the safe escort of organ transport delegations traveling through Ho Chi Minh City.
This has shown the sense of responsibility and readiness to serve the people of the traffic police officers and soldiers. These are beautiful images that need to be widely spread, so that each citizen will understand more about the activities of the traffic police force, thereby joining hands and contributing with the traffic police force in ensuring traffic order and safety.
