Due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, at around 4:00 p.m. on October 1, a landslide occurred on Provincial Road 321 (Km0+300) from Xuan An Commune to Trung Son Commune, Yen Lap District. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Local authorities and commune police have set up warning lines and personnel on duty to prevent people from passing through the dangerous road section.
Mass of earth and rock dumped on the road.
Through surveying and understanding the situation, the authorities discovered cracks tens of meters long on the hillside above. The risk of large-scale landslides could occur at any time.
Local authorities put up warning signs to warn people.
Mr. Dinh Quoc Khanh - Vice Chairman of Xuan An Commune People's Committee said: "Local authorities believe that if the heavy rain continues, landslides will continue to occur. The authorities are currently on duty 24/7 to warn people not to go through the above dangerous road section to ensure the safety of life and property, and at the same time, report to superiors for handling measures."
The crack signals the risk of further landslides.
