On September 7, storm No. 3 with winds of level 16 to level 17 left many serious consequences in the province, especially damage to the power grid, leading to power outage for 461,000 customers (100% of customers).

To restore the power grid of Quang Ninh province, Vietnam Electricity Group, Northern Power Corporation, Central Power Corporation, Hanoi Power Corporation, Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group, local authorities and military forces have supported Quang Ninh Power Company to restore the power grid, ensuring the needs of daily life and production and business in localities that suffered heavy damage after the storm.
After more than 10 days of working with the spirit of "high determination, great effort, and drastic action", the shock teams of the provinces and cities in the North and Central regions have restored nearly 100% of the power grid damaged by the storm.
However, due to the need to implement temporary measures to quickly restore power to customers, some problems have arisen on the power grid such as: Wires and electrical cabinets are damaged by trees and objects hitting them during storms; some wire locations are temporarily hung on trees, fences, etc.
This has been and is potentially causing safety risks and local power outages for some customers. Quang Ninh Power Company has directed its affiliated Power Companies to coordinate with construction units in the area to continue to implement solutions to existing problems, be on duty 24/7 to receive customer information to promptly fix problems and restore power to customers.
In case of power outage or unsafe power lines, Quang Ninh Power Company recommends that customers promptly notify the local Power Company. Quang Ninh Power Company will fix the problem as soon as possible.
In the coming time, Quang Ninh Electricity Company will continue to review the defects on the power grid, fix and repair the power grid to return to its original state as before storm No. 3 (Yagi) occurred, ensuring electricity supply for people's daily life and local socio-economic development.
