In addition, the total social investment capital in 2024 is estimated to be 31,500 billion VND, an increase of 10.4% compared to 2023. Regarding the disbursement of public investment capital, it is estimated that by the end of 2024 it will reach about 9,016 billion VND, reaching 99.82% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister and 95.13% of the plan assigned by the City People's Council.
According to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, 2025 is of special importance, being the final year of implementing the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2021-2025, and at the same time the year focusing on organizing the 15th City Party Congress, towards the 14th National Party Congress.
The theme of the city in 2025 is "Determination to reorganize and perfect the organization, apparatus, and political system of the city to be streamlined, effective, and efficient; promote resource mobilization to promote the city's socio-economic development; successfully implement the Resolution of the 14th City Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025".
Accordingly, Can Tho City sets a goal for 2025 to continue to create strong changes in economic restructuring associated with growth model innovation, best exploiting potentials and advantages, restructuring industries in a modern direction, associated with promoting innovation...

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the People's Council of Can Tho City Pham Van Hieu emphasized: With a large amount of work and the important nature of the meeting, the Chairman of the meeting requested the delegates of the People's Council of Can Tho City to continue to promote the spirit of responsibility, democracy, frank exchange, questioning, focus on discussing and deciding to pass the resolutions of the meeting to ensure quality, compliance with the law and soon put into practice right after promulgation.
