World and Vietnam Newspaper updates MU player transfer news that took place in the past hours.
Coach Erik ten Hag is looking for another striker
Coach Erik ten Hag is said to be asking MU to bring in another striker, after signing Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta for 85 million Euros, including 10 million Euros in add-ons.
Despite having Hojlund, coach Erik ten Hag was unable to use the Danish striker until September when the 20-year-old suffered a back injury during a training session while at Atalanta.
That leaves Martial and Rashford as the only options to lead the MU attack.
It would be no problem if the French striker was healthy, but in reality he spends more time on the sidelines than on the field due to constant injuries.
Meanwhile, everyone knows that Rashford's best position is on the left wing. Reporter Jacque Talbot confirmed that coach Erik ten Hag is looking for another striker during the remaining time of the summer transfer window.
This summer, MU signed midfielder Mason Mount, goalkeeper Andre Onana, striker Rasmus Hojlund, and is said to be pursuing midfielder Sofyan Amrabat (Fiorentina) and defender Benjamin Pavard (Bayern).
Recently, coach Ten Hag really wants to get Sofyan Amabat to reduce the load for Casemiro. However, the Red Devils are having difficulty recruiting due to financial fair play regulations.

Rasmus Hojlund brings good news to MU fans
The 20-year-old striker completed his transfer from Atalanta to MU at the beginning of the month for a fee of 85 million Euros, including 10 million Euros in personal benefits.
However, Hojlund has not been able to play for the Red Devils due to a back injury sustained during training while at Atalanta. It is expected that the new MU contract will be out for several weeks, until the end of August.
Captain Erik ten Hag added that MU will not rush with the Danish striker. He will only let Hojlund debut when he feels he is really ready.
However, with the latest post on his personal page, Rasmus Hojlund gave good news to MU fans, showing that everything is progressing positively. He posted a picture of himself training on the field, with the message "Soon" along with the Red Devils emoji.
For Hojlund, playing for MU is a dream come true, a wish he wrote down since he was a child. Therefore, it is understandable how much he looks forward to the day he can play for the Red Devils.
Despite the good news, Hojlund cannot join MU to fight Tottenham in the away match in London at 11:30 p.m. on August 19, in round 2 of the Premier League, as he is still practicing separately.
According to sources, Hojlund is expected to make his MU debut in the Premier League "big match", against Arsenal at Emirates at 10:30 p.m. on September 3.
However, it is not excluded that if this striker recovers faster than expected, coach Erik ten Hag will let him get used to the atmosphere and feel of the ball at Old Trafford in a less stressful match, MU vs Nottingham Forest at 9:30 p.m. on September 26.
Bayern Munich have stopped signing David De Gea because goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has recovered from injury and is ready to play. |
Bayern Munich stop signing David De Gea
De Gea is currently a free agent after leaving Manchester United at the end of June this year.
Despite his not-so-bad performance last season, De Gea's poor footwork and mistakes in important matches meant the Red Devils did not renew his contract.
Recently, Bayern approached De Gea to negotiate a short-term contract with the 32-year-old goalkeeper, while Manuel Neuer is still recovering from an injury.
However, Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg revealed: "Bayern have decided not to sign David De Gea. Coach Thomas Tuchel is against the idea, especially when Manuel Neuer could return in a few weeks.
Previously, coach Tuchel also pushed for Man City's second goalkeeper, Stefan Ortega. He called to persuade him, but now everything has come to a dead end."
Manuel Neuer broke his leg earlier this year in a skiing accident. Bayern are ready to give Sven Ulreich the chance to start until Neuer returns.
As for De Gea, he is still waiting for new offers after being rejected by both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
The Spanish goalkeeper failed to reach an agreement on salary to extend his contract with the Old Trafford team and decided to find a new destination after 12 years of association.
The 32-year-old goalkeeper is being targeted by a number of clubs in Saudi Arabia, but he wants to continue playing in Europe and is open to joining Bayern Munich.
However, De Gea's high salary (375,000 pounds/week when he was at Man Utd) as well as the fact that goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is about to return from injury caused the "Gray Tigers" to change their decision at the last minute.
Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer broke his leg in a skiing accident last December, but he is now fit to return to action at the Allianz Arena.
Coach Thomas Tuchel appreciated Manuel Neuer's talent more than De Gea's, so the deal eventually fell through and the Spanish goalkeeper continued to be unemployed when the new season had already begun.
